Design

As before with the i8910 we find the only three hardware keys s8500 front panel. The Call and End knobs are either side of the menu key. 

 
The S5800 Call, End and Menu keys are below the display same layout as I8910

Again with the i8910 and s8500 the earpiece and the video-call camera, along with a couple of sensors are located in pretty much the same place.

And yes yet again the left side of the s8500 has the volume rocker, but without the micro sd slot.

There are two buttons on the right side again same as before the camera key and the screen lock button.

Now at the top we find the micro USB port Whish is coverd under a small plastic lid, the uncovered 3.5mm audio jack and the loudspeaker grill, this layout is more like the Nokia 5800 xpress music layout in comparison

The s8500 camera lens and small LED flash next to it to boost its low-light performance but that small flash LED brings back horrors of the i8910 poor flash ability will it be the same here.

No slide off cover this time the battery cover gets released by pressing a small knob at the bottom. Re move the cover and under it are the microSD card slot and the 1500 mAh battery. Now a 1500mah battery is the same as the i8910 so expect the battery life to be the same but its hard to say with a new OS like BADA.

Also the Micro Sd Slot been under the battery make life more difficult and the slot should of been left on the side like the i8910.

The build quality of the s8500 is said to be "commendable" and if the the i8910 is anything to go by then im sure it will be.
